About Elix
I’m Sue Ruddick, founder of Elix Consulting.
I’m a senior strategic adviser with over 20 years’ experience in public affairs, campaigns and organisational leadership. I’ve held senior roles including Chief Operating Officer and Acting CEO, working across strategy, operations and stakeholder engagement in complex organisational and political environments.
Over the years, I’ve worked with boards, senior leaders, funders, policymakers and communities to help organisations make decisions, build support and move plans into action.
I now work on a flexible basis, supporting organisations that need experienced, practical input at senior level.
That might involve helping leadership teams think through strategy or direction, supporting stakeholder engagement, facilitating discussions where agreement is needed, or providing an external perspective when things feel complex or stuck.
I don’t tend to come in with fixed formulas. I work alongside people to help them make clearer decisions and move things forward.
Elix works with charities, public bodies and mission-led organisations that need experienced strategic support, whether that's shaping a campaign, strengthening stakeholder relationships, facilitating difficult conversations or helping leaders think through their next steps.
People often describe me as calm, clear and focused on what is realistic and achievable.
